Hawaii governor says he has proof Obama was born in Hawaii — he just can produce that proof. I’m sure this will be seized on by the usual suspects who have been constantly e-mailing me for years now of every new bit of news on Obama’s birth certificate. While we conservatives are busy in huge battles about Obamacare and the debt, it’s nice to get a breathless e-mail about how if you parse a statement someone made twenty years go a certain, it kinda sounds like they’re saying Obama was born in Kenya.
Yeah, I never got the obsession with this stuff. In the least, we’re pretty sure Obama was born on earth and he seems to speak English pretty well… as long as it’s written down for him phonetically. Then again, in some proof of his foreignness, he does run away screaming from the sight of an apple pie. But in his defense, he runs away screaming from lots of things.
No doubt about it – he’s French.
While that one may have been born in the U.S., he is certainly no American. He does not share our values, our experiences, nor our pride and loyalty. His being raised in Indonesia where it is entirely possible he renounced his U.S. citizenship, makes for a great theory. But in any case, it is causing marxists to spend huge sums of money protecting the information from us evil conservatives, which makes me grin from ear to ear.
If he was born in the US, I’d be for a Federal mandate revoking his status as a an American! That would be like super awesome and the Governor of Hawaii can stop “looking” for it! I’ll bet he’s been on this 24X7 locked in a small room in the basement of the Hawaii Archives Bldg, looking through box after box after box after box and still no birth cert. Bummer!
The biggest concern regarding Obama is how many people can be fooled into voting for someone spouting simplistic platitudes.
Well sure, they never bothered to to create a birth certificate for him, but someone did scrawl “The One was born today” somewhere in a margin in 1961.
The same article that first brought Abercrombie’s failure to find the birth certificate to light also stated that a certificate of live birth like the one that Obama produced could be generated simply by his mother “stating” that he was born in Hawaii. And, no one has ever lied about being an America legally, right?

While it would be sweet to see Obama thrown out of office for not being a natural born US citizen, it’s not happening. Thankfully most Republicans these days are too busy trying to limit the Obamination’s damage to our Nation to worry about this issue.
Regardless of where he was born, he’s still the first anti-American President and the only President so far that makes me wish for the good old days of the Jimmy Carter administration.

@Brian…impeachment and removal from office would obviously be the remedy. Executive orders and appointments signed by him would be fraudulent, it could also render his entire election campaign illegal, which would also bring Biden’s eligibility into question.

Hey ccoffer and MeanOldMan, the citizenship requirements for president are set in, surprise, the US Constitution, Article II, specifically:
No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.
Which is to say, the president must be born in the US or its territories. The US Supreme Court refused to hear the case challenging Obama’s citizenship.
All conservatives should have dropped this long ago; however, it was a legitimate issue to raise in the first place, if only as a matter of Constitutional Law. As today’s news points out, this issue has never been definitively settled.
People get fixated on Obama only producing a “certificate of Live Birth”, and say it has to be a fake because his Grandmother says he was born in Kenya.
Well all I have is a Certificate of Live birth for my records, and what’s worse is my Grandmother’s signature is on it as well. (Happens when your grandmother is the the doctor who delivered you). So far no one has questioned my American Citizenship… Although most people don’t claim Oklahoma as actually being apart of the United States… Looks like I can’t be president.

He was possibly born in Kenya but probably in Hawaii and even that doesn’t make him “natural born” because previous law said the *father* and the mother both had to be citizens to make someone a natural born citizen and we know his father wasn’t a citizen, ever.
But you know what? He’s in office and it really doesn’t matter a hill of beans anymore. There are other possible reasons he has the thing locked down so tight – like that he was illegitimate or whatever. Again – the guy’s been in office two years; it doesn’t matter. While I am not a fanatic birther, I am a skeptic by nature. If something is not proven, it remains unproven.
This is true of:
Global warming
Obama being smart (no transcripts, and nothing he has done proves to me he is smart)
Obama’s birth status
Palin caused Loughner to go on a shooting spree
TEA party people are racists, Nazis, and/or stupid gun-totin’ religion-clingers
Obamacare reduces the deficit while insuring 30 million more people and reducing insurance premiums by 3000% and creating 400,000 new jobs

Also, in my mind, this sets a precedent. Should we no longer require candidates for president to prove citizenship status? All presidential candidates have done this by providing full birth records. Except Obama. Why should we let it pass? Because he’s (half) black and it would be racist to demand it?

If the provision doesn’t mean he has to be born in the country why does it matter whether Hawaii has a certificate. If O thought he could get away with that, there wouldn’t be any controversy. IF ( and I’m not a birther so I don’t claim he was) he was born in Kenya, to an ex-patriate then he’s not a citizen and he broke the law running, accepting the office and trespassing in the Oval Office, and should be jailed along with his friends, especially Holder, Soros, Jarret and his spouse as traitors to the country.
But why are we arguing about this. After all it’s perfectly alright to lie, cheat and steal to get what you want, as long as they can’t catch you.
