You guys here need to accept that libertarianism is the way of the future. Democrats are quite obviously wrong wrong wrong. Republicans are wrong 1/2 the time. And then of course conservatives are ok ish. But libertarianism is optimum. I mean you guys are good for a few yuks but really even Frank is only mildly funny.
Ann Coulter once said, “We should invade their counties, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity” and I agree. They should be converted.
Except for that killing part. There is no reason to kill the Libertarians, yet. I mean they are a nuisance and they are destroying any chance of re-taking the White House and they do want to destroy us…
Having been a board member of My County’s Libertarian Faction,[a lapel badge and everything] I can state with some knowing they’re no better than conservatives and ‘some’ are downright Inquisition-ish when it comes to ‘Their’ Political Purity litmus tests. [say : “Ayn Rand” or “Objectivism”, over and over…]
Plus, since they’re so G D’d “Independent” in thought, word and deed, they rarely volunteer all that much and it’s the same twenty people, over and over again. *THAT* Gets boring really fast, when you’re one of the twenty, and all the supposed acolytes always seem to have much better-er stuff to do. […like never, ever showing up…]
(BTW, we had 320/480 county members then [1994-’97] and no more than 40 ever showed up for a freakin’ monthly meeting.)
Now, I tend ‘Conservative’, as it’s a better class of people, the girls are cuter and much more numerous, and you can actually converse with Citizens without too much eye-popping, Conspiracy-Mongering and such.
I’m confused. Just because you like something someone wrote, you are a disciple of theirs? Just because you agree with something someone said, you’re their new BFF?
I guess that’s the difference between religion and other entities. In a religion you put your belief in something or someone larger, higher, more perfect than yourself. In real life you can appreciate that someone said something wise without becoming their sycophant.
(ps. NACCP – Not a crazy crack pot per Franks injunction for long postings)
Huh. You guys sure are workin’ REAL hard at groomin’ Carpenter to be the next “The Limey” (ref. http://www.imao.us/archives/001459.html ) It would be a shame if the poor guy ever learned that nobody around here is ever going to explain their position as this website is dedicated to mocking bad ideas that deserve mocking without explaining why they deserve it.

Oh, you have GOT to meet Carpenter.
BTW, I don’t mind being OK-ish. But Frank is more than mildly funny.
Freemon, don’t you know that libertarians are the scum of the earth? Though, I suppose that puts us high on the list of post-nuclear war survivors.
Mr. Carpenter keeps using that “L” word. I do not think it means what he thinks it means.
Freemom,
