  1. Grandchild sitting. Of course they actually don’t sit until I break up the fight, argument, screamfest. Then they sit, on a chair in the corner of the kitchen with their nose in the corner. Yes I am an old grandmother, I actually believe in discipline. I also believe in the laying on of hands for the gift of obedience, but thank goodness I don’t have any little children at my house or I’d end up in jail. There are so many folks today that could use a good spanking. *NAACP*

By the by good luck with the upcoming event. Hope all goes swimmingly for your wife and I hope she doesn’t pull your lower lip over your entire body (Carol Burnetts description of labor).

    and YGDFT!YLRATSOTE!!

  2. i’m finishing my kitchen remodel. so far the guy has under my sink for an two and half hours reconnecting it. the words “oops”, “i don’t think they make that anymore” and -just now-“oh, i had that on upside down”, have been uttered.

  3. Celebrating the fact that three young women from Cleveland, kidnapped years ago and presumed dead (by most of us anyway) have been found alive and their captors arrested. Wondering how long it will be before the story takes some strange “only in Cleveland” direction. Oh, and jealously guarding my ammo! I’m getting hungry, though…

  4. OH.MY.GAWD! STILL with this Breeder nonsense!! I mean I thought you’d be out listening to your Ted Nugent eight-tracks, being drunk off of a case of PBR, and shooting your guns all over the place like you wingnut, flathead, redneck men like to do. Go tune up your monster truck or do some whittlin’ on a stick. Just leave your woman alone. I mean isn’t it bad enough you enslaved her with marriage and are forcing her to pass another proto-wingnut through her abused enough birth canal? Go watch a Die Hard movie or Triumph of The Will and feel all macho afterwards. I mean, it’s not like you’re ever going to care about the death of US Ambassador Ben Gazzi and those pet seals that the navy gave him.

  5. @16 Nope. Ummmm….I think you’d need to send me a recipe 😛

Btw, Frank….be EXTRA nice to Sarah K. I’ve been overdue before and you think the wait seems long to YOU….try being her. Every day feels like a WEEK. At LEAST. Maybe I should make her some cookies. What kind does she like?

  6. Toffee Chip Cookies!
Use the plain toffee chips without chocolate but use the (Toll House) chocolate chip recipe (only cut back the salt from 1 teaspoon to 1/2 teaspoon – due to the salt in the toffee chips). Trust me.

  7. I’m feeling all enlightened and stuff. Always assumed seanmahair was a dude. Just because of the spelling of sean. Otherwise, not doing much besides incubating little Chareth Cutestory Fleming. And running stairs.

  8. If you get tired of waiting just wait for something else even better, like bacon. Or join a labor union seeing as how you already paid your dues, and let Sarah go about the unskilled part of this birthing stuff. Try being the stern dad and say you got eight hours and twenty six minutes to get in bed or you’re grounded. Threaten to name him Francis if he won’t get the lead out. Birth Gangnam Style. Ban some of your more obnoxious but well meaning commenters. Act like this ain’t your first rodeo by doing rope tricks with a lasso and jangling your spurs while you stand by the front door.

  9. My first child was 16 days late. In July. Thought I would melt. I was lucky though; both my babies were little. The first was 5 lb 12 oz. The boy, who showed up 6 weeks early, was 4 lb 12. They are nine months and three days apart. Right now we’re in the special time of year when they’re the same age. Hang in there, Sarah. If all else fails, let Frank have his way with ya. Worked for me.

  10. sarak – seanmahair- gaelic for grandmother (spelling debatable) 6 children, 10 grandchildren under 6 years old. I was late EVERY time 15 days for most, 12 days the least. I just added two weeks to the due date so I wasn’t ever worried about being on time after baby # 1. All of my grandchildren however have been born either on time or early. Not really sure why it’s that way but oh well.

  11. No, second one conceived on our first night alone after the first was born. He just showed up in April instead of June. For me, post-partum started the day we introduced him to his big sister. The jealousy didn’t end until they were grown! Twins would have been easier. But we survived and now have 10 grandbabies.
