  1. Romans 13
    New International Version (NIV)

    Submission to Governing Authorities

13 Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.

2 Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.

    ——————–

That judgment is Obama! He is the punishment for Libertarianism. You think I’m wrong? What happened after the Libertarians lied and cried about Ronald Reagan and Papa Bush for 12 years? The punishment was Bill Clinton and his cigar.

Then after Libertarians screamed bloody murder over Clintons scandals and evil deeds they were punished with 8 years of George W Bush. Seeing another Bush in office droving many of them stark raving mad! And then of course their punishment for lying about a decent Christian man (GW) for 8 long years was to have a communist illegal alien RULE OVER them.

The Libertarians, more than any other group, have rebelled against the authority of God and they have brought this judgment on themselves. Personally I dislike Obama but he is doing a wonderful job of punishing the Libertarians.

  2. Tarrrruntarrrraaaaa [trumpet fanfare] Carpeleh is back and he’s bringing the post-Apocalyptic heat…(must have gotten extra revved up reading his satanic Libertarian pornsites this morning)…and rather than messing up the upholstery in his Winnebago he drops his messes here.

The punishment was Bill Clinton and his cigar.

Monica might disagree with you there…given how she was a willing humidor. But still, if that’s the extent of His Almighty wrath…we’re getting off lightly. You’d figure plagues of locusts or hurricanes, right, Carpeleh?

whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted

I doubt God Almighty had anything to do with Brookings…those guys are rebels without a clue.

  3. “…whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted…”

    Obvious conclusions:

    1. God instituted Obama.
    2. Rebelling against Obama is rebelling against God.
    3. God also instituted Carpenter.
    4. Carpenter is an authority.
    5. Rebelling against Carpenter is rebelling against God.

    QED.

(BTW, you’re cracked in the head! Bring back Son of Bob!)

  4. @15 jimmy

we already established that carpie thinks he’s Jesus, but then he denied it so i think that makes him judas, too.

    i’m so confused.

ps where is son of bob?

    Free the Indianapolis 500!

  5. Wait! YGDFTYLTATSOTE brought about the demise of this country because George Bush caused us to have barry soetero? Or is he saying that after the good Reagan did that the YGDFTYLTATSOTE establisment foisted GHWB and billy boob clintoon on us? And now we are being punished because God wanted the job, but instead we nominated mcromney? I am really confused. Maybe ole carpenter can regail us on how the Libertarians are stealing all of our wealth and controlling us with millions of regulations? Or how global warming is causing premature hair loss in algore.

  6. @17

What, you’ve forgotten the Great Conspiracy Kerfuffle just a few weeks back? Frank instituted The Great Purge (worthy of the most massive doses of ipecac) because SoB dared question Frank’s perceptions and definitions of “conspiracy”.

Personally, I’d be for starting the two of them off with a bottle of Ol’ Catcher’s Mitt and a set of WW I German trenchknives and let them resolve matters…the winner getting the good Irish whiskey (Bushmills).

  7. @20

at the risk of taking sides when i don’t remember what happened, it is frank’s house. he lets us play here. on the other hand, these family squabbles happen. you ought to see my family on Turkey Day. (Tullamore Dew?)

  8. @20, No, I haven’t forgotten, Bunker. I just regret not barging-in that day and trying to head-off that kerfuffle before it escalated to it’s conclusion. Like most of us, I read/comment here because of fondness for both the bloggers and the commenters. And Son of Bob’s [^insert adjective here – terrific?] insights go back to the very first day of my participation (1951, I think). Always looked forward to his reality-based analysis – not particularly funny always – just very, deeply real. And SO Republican. So Right.

I’m also aware of how quickly Conservatives can eat their own, and, as an affable oldster of Irish descent, I hate it. Argue – drink-up – smile – and argue some more! After it’s over, all is forgiven. T’was how I was raised. Irish mothers do that… BOOM!…you’re dead…tick, tick, tick… you’re forgiven… give me a hug! But I digress…

  9. @21

… it is frank’s house. he lets us play here…these family squabbles happen…

Granted. However when your host suddenly spins off on a tangent, beginning one of those aforementioned sqabbles with some of the guests he’s gathered round the table with him, and when the back-and-forth appears to be too much for Thine Host Himself, without so much as a word, knocks back his chair at the head of the table and goes running off to lock himself in the bathroom to jam his fingers in his ears and go lalalalalala-I can’t hear youuuuuu in reply to simple enquiries, only to emerge later with a Josef Stalin mustache spiritgummed onto his upper lip and demand that his previously-welcomed guests be driven out because they dared to ask pointed-but never answered-questions…you’re glad to be welcomed in, but think about a) if Thine Host has been spending a minute too long with that mad aunt kept away in the attic, and b) moving the cardgame into the back parlor with some of the other invited when the host comes into dining room.

  10. From the King James Bible (no offense to those who use any other version-this is simply the version we (SoS) LDS folks (Mormons) use)

35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,

36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

38 This is the first and great commandment.

39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

No where in there does it say Libertarians are excluded or Muslims, or hippies or Demoncrats. This is what people don’t seem to get anymore. Just because we hate what you do, or stand for or how you act doesn’t mean we hate you. Hate the sin, love the sinner, the church being a hospital for sinners not a hotel of saints and all. So please, it you’re going to spew vitriol about others do it some where else.

We may poke fun at people, hold them up to ridicule or tease them unmercifully but we don’t hate them. It takes too much effort and time and me I’m not sure I’ve got all that much left. Death panels are coming you know and if not there’s always the guy (any radical islamist) who thinks he’s going to get me into a burkha. Seriously I wonder if he want’s to keep his “package” attached to his body or if he’s not terrible fond of it. Not a threat, simply a Public Service Announcement.

As those sentiments could well have come from my own keyboard, I’ve no disagreement at all…forgiveness for certain, by the heartload…in the Bunkerhill home it’d come after the brawl had been settled between us stairstep brothers, when younger, in the backyard with gloves on and babyteeth getting loosened. Jockeying for position, locking horns over the rightness of an opinion. Later, with education and erudition, the roiling conflicts in our respective efforts to convince the others of the rightness of our ideology became verbal or literary in nature…Hell, we’d argue with a map, thinking that damned thing is just wrong! But…forgetting? Elephants’ memories!

    @24

because i found the entire episode so unpleasant. let me not be even partially responsible for re-opening it.

Perish the thought…the sour taste of that being well-rinsed from my mouth at least.

  12. Pick…pick…pick…

Oppo must be another of Frank’s personalities…still stinging from prior encounters.

Not my problem if the welts on your hind end have yet to heal…just get a bigger ice-filled bucket and keep on sitting. The pain and shame will pass.
