John Hawkins surveyed right wing bloggers on their most liked and least liked Presidential choices. Fred Thompson is most liked and Ron Paul is least liked of course, but how the rest order in between is pretty interesting. Here’s Hawkins’s analysis of the results.

I don’t care how disillusioned Republicans get, my disillusionment with libertarians is mammoth by comparison.
Thompson/Tank 08. Really libertairians deep down, nahnah.
No surprise there. Frony appears to still have the momentum in the rightosphere. Hey did you IMAOers hear that Jack Bauer is going to fight global warming on the show and on the set? If not then allow me to be the first to ruin your day. 🙂 I don’t think emailing scripts is a good idea. Great way to get hacked and have episode details leaked everywhere.
Your just jealous Sarcasm Man. You are still stuck with Mrs. Bill Clinton and Hussein Obama. Mrs. Bill representing the Stalinist wing of the democrat party and Hussein Obama the dumb-ass wing of the democrat party. Maybe you guys could get Ron Paul to come to your side. We have no use for him and it would be quite an improvement for your side.
9/11 For President!
Hey Sarc…nice field of candidates! A shrew a dufus and a metrosexual! You will have a hard time picking…good luck!
Fred Thompson shall enter the race and crush his competition and listen to the bitching of their women…or whatever Konan said…
How can this be a legitimate internet poll? Ron Paul didn’t win!

For Dems it will be Hillary Clinton and Wesley Clark. That’s my guess. Clinton Clark
That’s win/win for Republicans Sarc. The US isn’t ready for a first man like Bill and he will figure in.
I’m an independent and I really like Thompson, though I’m quite impressed with Giuliani of late. Time will tell.
Yeah, I can’t wait for more clawing to the top of a heap of the 9/11 dead from the White House either.
I still believe Clinton will pick Gore just out of the fact that they can recycle leftover bumper stickers. I think getting Gore back on board is the greatest obstacle that the Clintons’ will face after Bill endorsed global warming by touting trade with China (he endorsed them as the #1 trade partner for the US in the WTO ).

No, Repubs will do best with a more liberal Democratic candidate like Obama or Edwards than with Hillary and General Wesley Clark. Once it comes down to the main election the moderate does better. That’s why Bush ran as a moderate in 2000. By the same token Giuliani would have a better chance at beating Hillary than Thompson. If Bloomberg runs as an independent it will get really confusing.
Sarcasm Man, you had me at “I really like Thompson.”

🙂 Sorry, part of the text I quoted from Carolynp’s comment didn’t get inside the italics.
I don’t understand why conservatives consider Hillary Clinton to be the most liberal candidate.
Can someone please tell me why?
[She certainly would be the most liberal candidate in the Republican primary. She isn’t in the Democratic primary.
What conservative told you she was the most liberal? -Ed.]
I pick:
most favored:
1) Romney
2) Hunter
3) Gingrich
4) Huckabee
5) McCain
least favored:
1) Paul
2) Tancredo
3) Giuliani
4) T. Thompson
no 5.
my reaction to both Sam and Fred (sorry Frank, I just don’t get it) is “meh”, so they get on neither list.
I thought you said this was going to be about who people smarter than me choose for president.
