It works as a tax cut if one’s logic is “We were gonna add fifty percent more on taxes to make it work, but we’ll instead add twenty percent more. Boom! Tax cut!”

Hey, no problem. The Supreme Court ruled it a tax. So, that means politicians can sell it as a tax cut administered by the most honest agency we have: The IRS.
They get to separate you from your money with sharp surgical instruments so it’s a health care tax cut, but only if you have to pay all the taxes. Then they get to say how and on whom the money is spent so it is also a penalty, but only if they don’t spend it on you. Obamacare should have to cover plastic surgery costs for weasels who want to change their appearance so as not to resemble a Democrat.
Since we’ve never had a health care tax in America before, ANY decrease would be “the largest health care tax cut in history”. It would also be the first and only health care tax cut in history. Although there ought to be a special place in Hell for people who call a tax increase a tax cut because it’s not as much of an increase as you really really wanted to impose.
