Today, I’m remembering my father who passed away last June from ailments related to his exposure to Agent Orange during Vietnam. I don’t know if that counts for Memorial Day — he was there for me throughout my childhood, while many other children never got to know their fathers because of the sacrifice they made on behalf of our country. Anyway, SarahK and I finally got my dad that grandson to continue on the family name like we promised, so I hope he appreciates that. And that’s the point of those sacrifices — we keep living on and do the best we can with all we’ve been given.
It counts.
jw’s right it counts and Frank your dad knows how much you miss him and how much you love him. I promise he knows. God bless you and yours.
A heartfelt thanks to all those who post here and throughout this nation to all those who gave the last measure of devotion and all those who willingly put their lives on the line for their country and countrymen and the families who supported, taught, grieve and miss their lived ones. They did not die in vain. We remember them and their sacrifice.
God bless you all.
Hear, hear.
Right you are, FrankJ.
To the families who will forever suffer the loss of their loved ones, to those who have suffered injury and to those who suffer still, our debt to you can not be measured. But it is remembered.
It definitely counts Frank. The great thing about grandkids is you can see their grandparents in their eyes.
