Well… I Suppose if They’re Barefoot & Pregnant, We Could Let Them Work in the Kitchen…

The perpetually-offended quota mongers are at it again. This time the complaint is that Republicans have too few Gynecologically-Examined-Americans (or whatever the hell the PC term for “women” is these days) as senior members of their campaign staffs.
[Grammatical aside: shouldn’t that be “staves”?]
Anyway, I speculate thusly upon the reasons why this might be so:

  • Broads are always too busy gossiping about “Desperate Housewives” to get any damn work done. Why hire them?
  • Republicans may have fewer women, but they’re WAY hotter.
Typical Democratic campaign worker.
  • Quality Conservative women too busy doing other things, like teaching their children the difference between right & wrong.
  • The Republican women who were going to be hired never showed up for their interviews because their tires were slashed by Democrats.
  • Any time a Republican man says “I want this woman on my staff”, he gets sued for sexual harrassment.
  • Republican women refuse to take the pay cut or scale back on their precious shooting range time.
  • Any woman worth having on a campaign is already in Iraq killing terrorists, where women belong.
  • Republican men are still acclimating to this whole “women’s suffrage” thing. Don’t be pushy.
  • There’s only one Ann Coulter, and what other woman could you possibly want to hire?
  • Well, there IS that one… but she’s already working as a t-shirt babe for some Florida-based conservative humor blog.
  • Because statistically speaking, there were more men in the pool of qualified applicants. What sort of bottom-line-ignoring moron would hire a candidate on criteria unrelated to potential for job performance?
  • Oh.

Any other reasons that I might have overlooked?

  1. “* Any woman worth having on a campaign is already in Iraq killing terrorists, where women belong.”
    Heheh….best line in the thing
“* Because statistically speaking, there were more men in the pool of qualified applicants. What sort of bottom-line-ignoring moron would hire a candidate on criteria unrelated to potential for job performance?”
I should have seen this one coming, I love how you stuck a real point in, completely awesome.

  2. * Quality Conservative women too busy doing other things, like teaching their children the difference between right & wrong.
I know that one to be a fact. But I’m more concerned about the lack of available conservative women of my generation who still have hormones. 😉

  3. I urge every conservative male here to only fornicate with liberal chicks.
It’s like that line from braveheart.
    “If we can’t KICK them out… we’ll simply… BREED… them out.”
Besides, conservative chicks just get restraining orders. Thanks SarahK, I didn’t like Florida ANYWAYS.

  4. I think The Onion did an article about a very important women’s issue here.
And sure, the Bush administration could hire Ann Coulter, but I’ve read some of her books, and I believe she does more for the Conservatives as a writer than she ever could as a political appointee.

  5. Are you aware that most elite colleges now have affirmative action type admissions for men? It seems that women are getting much higher SATs and grades and are all around more qualified than their male counterparts. At some colleges, they have to lower admissions standards quite a bit just to keep the number of male students above 45 %.
Of course, that fact of affirmative action has escaped the notice of conservative male bloggers who haven’t looked into college for obvious reasons.

  6. What did you expect?
Most of the SAT questions are now about cooking, child rearing, fashion and makeup, so women would naturally do better than men.
No surprise, John Edwards also scored extremely well on those parts.

    Affirmative action is always wrong.
Males and females have the same average IQ, but women have a more stable IQ. Most men are either gifted or dumb, while most women are more or less equal.

    • Republicans may have fewer women, but they’re WAY hotter.
Why thank you. Great graphic, BTW.
Now where’s the hot Republican men?

I married one. As a matter of fact, I can’t see why any real woman would have anything to do with most of those liberal guys. When I was dating, I expected a man to open the door for me, or there was no second date. The guys always paid, unless he just couldn’t afford it, and then he managed to mention that before the bill came. Course, that was in the day of no kissing on date one, anyway…

The Repubs offer a place for men where they are accepted as they are and do not have to apologize for living. It’s a last refuge of sorts.
Heh heh heh – this somehow makes me think about my current job, where I’m sort of the token Attila-the-Hun conservative (pro-war libertarian, to be more precise) in an office full of largely liberal women. It’s fun for someone of my personality type. Yes, I’m pretty well-liked, but, if any more like me were to move in, there goes the neighborhood….
    As for child-siring, I’m a divorced dad with a 17 y/o daughter and 14 y/o son. Thas’sit, I’m done.

  9. You just better hope you don’t have your liberal and conservative chicks mixed up, Jimmy.
You try that slapping business on the wrong chick and what’s left of you will be shopping for some artificial limbs.

Well that depends on where the “slapping” it taking place…or what do you think conservative hinders are for?

  11. “or what do you think conservative hinders are for? Posted by shimauma at October 26, 2007 10:52 PM”
I’ve got 6 kids, I know exactly what they are for. And no slapping was required, I LIKE my husband and he gets all the cooperation he wants.

  12. Sorry didn’t mean to strike a nerve SarahK. I just don’t think of other guys wives who are 30ish who put Bible verses on their blog as a babe. I still read your blog. Just don’t post there anymore. I don’t think you look bad for your age. You are correct about the singing though. You do stay on pitch, I’ll give you credit there. And it could have just been the song, but you sounded like Julie Andrews to me. Just doesn’t appeal to me, but it must appeal to someone, she made it pretty big.

  13. Ron, you struck no nerve. It’s just your let’s-insult-SarahK schtick is getting old. I am always amazed at you people who come into my husband’s blog and insult his wife. I don’t know what kind of mamas raised y’all — obviously NOT Texan mamas. And it’s called karaoke. I think the technical definition of karaoke is “not professional crappy singing.” So… I don’t recall billing it as anything else.

  14. (rolling her eyes at Ron Rockstar) If you dislike SarahK’s blog so much, why do you keep on reading it?
Besides, it’s not like she hijacked your blog to post Bible verses on it.
I wanted to say something about being her own blog, but I’ll save my breath, it’s just too painfully obvious.
And what’s that “looks good for her age”? If you’re trying to make her sound old, sorry, it won’t work – we all know better.
Maybe it’s a cultural thing. Maybe you come from some place where, say, 20 and still single equals doomed to ethernal spinsterhood. Just saying.

  15. Lilya, you are way off base. I still read SarahK’s blog because I like it. I quit posting because she went off on me one day for using *&^% on her blog. I apologized and told her I wouldn’t post anymore. However a day or so later she put *&^^% in her blog so I called her on it. Instead of apologizing she said it was her blog and she could do what she wanted. Fair enough. I think her direct quote was “I never said I wasn’t a hypocrite”. And she said it very proudly. This is an irreverant site. If you can take the heat you shouldn’t post yourself singing. She takes folks apart on American Idol who are just amateurs. All I said was I must have been listening to a different clip. Not exactly harsh. It’s the same thing here as it is at Michelle Malkin’s site. Too much sucking up to the bloggers. When I think of Babes, I am thinking the Roe v Wade girl on the sidebar of this page. Geez, lighten up.

  16. Ron-
I hope you keep reading, at least. I do believe that you’re displaying the wrong attitude to have. We all get called on our sh*t from time to time, especially when we are openly welcomed guests to someone else’s site. I want to think that you might not act very welcoming to someone coming into you house and harassing one of your household members. If that really happened at your home, would you react so differently?
That having been said, can you truly blame other guest commenters & this site’s proprietors for coming to the defense of one of their own?
Seriously, if you truly want to stop coming here, well, that’s your choice; it doesn’t have to be that way, but that’s up to you. But if that’s what you ultimately decide to do, then Via Con Dios…

  17. //Consider this my last post. It’s been funny, most of the time.

Dude, you should at least wait until they threaten to ban you. Then at least all the money spent on the their products will seem worth it.
