The nutroots seem to be so upset with Padilla being found guilty because they think he was tortured or something, but if they actually think he was tortured and abused, wouldn’t the worse outcome be that he was found not guilty and thus all this time we’ve been torturing an innocent man? Shouldn’t they be sighing in relief saying to themselves, “Whew; that was close. I was so worried the Bush Administration was torturing an innocent man, but it ends up he was guilty all along. Dodged a bullet there.”

Ah, but you forget, they DON’T think he was guilty. At least a third of the nutfarm responses to these liberal blogs claim that Padilla didn’t do anything wrong. They DO think an innocent man was tortured and convicted. Liberals are deranged, it’s as simple as that. I have come to believe that their inability to perceive reality correctly borders on actual schizophrenia. How are any of their beliefs crazier or more delusional than thinking your toothbrush is plotting to kill you? They ignore the raving psycho threatening them with a gun, and instead they cower in terror from the invisible but looming threat of the evil cheese fairy hiding in the A/C vent.
