The left’s hysterical reaction to the Jose Padilla verdict has caused me to ask: What do liberals love so much about terrorists? Is it their devil may care attitude? Is it their rebellious ways? Is it their hatred for the Jews (or, as liberals call them, neocons)?
I think it’s because they both dislike the same things, namely America. What say you?

Liberals identify with terrorists because almost all terrorists look like dirty, smelly, hairy hippies, (a.k.a. “family”) – except with guns and weapons.

I think it’s because terrorists seem to cluster around the East and West coast, which is where liberals like to live, so they’ve got that in common.

I think what you said in “Know Thy Enemy: Fun Facts About Terrorists” is true about liberals too. “They hate us for our freedom, and our large American penises.” They automatically assume that the enemy of their enemy is their friend.
Exactly who the hell do they like? Give the DSH’s enough time and they’ll find something loathsome about everyone. Including themselves.
Truth is, they hate PEOPLE. Period.
Simply because GWB opposes them. That’s all. No other reason needs to be given. Sick, isn’t it?
Ultimately, it boils down to what Jesus said in Mark:
“If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. And if Satan opposes himself and is divided, he cannot stand; his end has come.”
In other words, if you hate the real God, be you a lefty or a Muslim, you are on the same side.
If you want the postmodernist answer- it’s fairly simple – they are bored. Nothing like a building blowing up to add a bit of drama to life. If you actually fight back, you might actually win and not have buildings blowing up, and that would spoil the fun. They think life is a movie. It’s the unintended lesson of the movie “Pleasantville” – a world with aids/etc. is “more exciting” than a stable 50’s conservative America, and therefore “better”.
